Smart diagram workspace
Diagrams that know what they are, from cloud architecture to mind maps.
Purpose-built nodes for architecture, processes, plans and ideas. Edit live with your team and your AI agents, export exactly what you drew, keep it current.
What is Archboard?
A hosted workspace for structured diagrams, not a slide deck
Archboard is a hosted workspace for smart, structured diagrams, from cloud architecture, Kubernetes, and C4 to flowcharts, mind maps, and brainstorming boards. People and AI agents (via MCP) edit the same canvas in real time with live cursors. Purpose-built node packs, templates, live share links and embeds, and a public, versioned JSON format are built in. Sign in with Google or GitHub. It is not open source, not self-hosted, and not a meeting-facilitation tool with timers or voting.
Demo use cases
Try it before you sign in
Switch a use case, then pan and zoom. Same canvas as the workspace, no account required.
AI agents · MCP
Ask your AI agent for a diagram. Watch it draw.
Add Archboard’s MCP server to your AI app, then ask for a diagram or a change. The edits land live on the canvas your team is working on, built from the same node packs you use, and its cursor shows who it works for.
- An AI agent working for Maya adds a database, its storage, and a cache next to the checkout API. Its cursor shows who it works for, and the new shapes appear one by one.
- At the same time, Leo changes the checkout API from 3 to 5 replicas.
- Maya clicks Undo in the notice: the agent’s change is taken back in one step, and Leo’s edit stays.
Connect in three steps
- Add the server to your AI app
In your AI app’s connector or MCP settings, add Archboard as a remote MCP server with this URL. Some apps call it a custom connector.
MCP server URLhttps://getarchboard.app/mcpQuick setup for your app
Opens in a new tabDon’t see your app? Copy the URL above into its connector or MCP settings. It needs OAuth sign-in without a client secret.
Archboard isn’t affiliated with these apps. Names and logos belong to their owners.
- Sign in and choose access
Your app opens Archboard. Sign in with Google or GitHub, pick the organizations and workspaces it can use, choose read, edit, or delete for each, and give it a name.
- Ask for a diagram
Ask your agent to draw or update a diagram, then open it in Archboard to watch the changes arrive live.
Try asking
- Draw our checkout service on Kubernetes with Postgres and Redis.
- Add a cache next to checkout-api in my Payments diagram.
- Undo your last change.
Your AI app needs to support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in.

Features
Built for the diagram you keep updating
Packs, templates, sharing, and export in one hosted workspace. Architecture and ideas live on the same canvas instead of on a slide you redraw every quarter.
Node packs that look like the system
Kubernetes, cloud, C4, flowchart, BPMN, mind map, stickers, wireframe: drop a node, connect a port, keep going.
Edit together, live
Everyone editing sees live cursors, selections, and changes as they happen. Undo takes back only your own changes, and if your connection drops, changes in the open tab sync when you reconnect.
Bring your AI agent
Connect an AI agent through MCP with OAuth sign-in. Its changes appear live on the canvas, labeled with the person it works for, and you can undo a change it made in one step.
Share a link that updates live
Send a view link where people watch edits and cursors as they happen, or embed the diagram on a docs site. Roles stay on the workspace.
Export that matches the canvas
SVG, PNG, JPEG, or PDF when you need a snapshot, without rebuilding the diagram in another tool.
One workspace for the team
Organizations, seats, and secure sessions in the cloud. Upgrade when your team needs more seats.
Live
Your team and your AI agents, on the same canvas
Cursors, selections, and changes show up as they happen. An AI agent connected through MCP can edit the diagram you have open while you watch, and its label shows who it works for. Anyone with the public link can watch too.
Live cursors
See who is where, follow a teammate’s view, and watch drags as they happen.
Agents on the canvas
AI agents add and arrange nodes through MCP, with the same node packs you use. You can undo your agent’s change in one step; a field someone changed afterward is kept.
Share links that update live
Viewers see changes without signing in, plus the names and cursors of editors and AI agents who have the diagram open. Their own names and cursors stay hidden; editors see how many people are watching.
Undo your own changes
Undo takes back only your own changes, and a field a teammate changed afterward is kept, so nobody undoes someone else’s work by accident.
Beyond architecture
The same canvas for flows, mind maps, and ideas
The structure that keeps a cluster readable also keeps a flowchart, a mind map, or a brainstorm useful after the meeting, on the same hosted canvas.
Mind maps
Live tree layout and keyboard-first editing: Tab adds a child, Enter a sibling.
ExploreFlowcharts
Steps, decisions, and cross-functional flows with ports and edges that carry meaning.
ExploreBrainstorming
Sticky notes, stickers, and affinity maps that turn into a plan, not a lost board.
ExploreTemplates
Start from a brainstorm, mind map, roadmap, user flow, or SWOT, then make it yours.
