A how-it-works infographic explains a process in the order people experience it. This template lays out five steps as arrow chevrons, adds three feature cards underneath, and closes with a tip, on a wide poster that suits a slide, a landing page section, or a help article.

The five steps are one block, not five loose boxes. Add, remove, or reorder steps in the block item list and the chevrons resize to fill the width, with an icon and a short description under each step. Every block sits on the same grid, so the poster stays tidy while you edit.

When to use it

  • Explaining onboarding, checkout, or a support process to new users.
  • Adding a visual overview to documentation or a product page.
  • Showing a team how a new internal workflow will run.
  • Turning a long list of instructions into a handful of clear steps.

How to use it

  1. Rename the headline and replace the five step titles with the stages of your own process.

  2. Write one short sentence under each step and pick an icon that matches it.

  3. Edit the three feature cards to show what makes the process easy, or delete the cards you do not need.

  4. Export the poster for a slide or a help page, or embed the live diagram on Pro so it changes when the process does.

Questions

Can I use more or fewer than five steps?

Yes. The process block works best with three to seven steps. Add or remove steps in its item list and the layout adjusts; a description that is too long for its column is shortened on the poster and flagged in the editor so you can trim it.

Can I change how the steps look?

Yes. Switch the block between chevrons, rounded arrows, and numbered circles, and choose a tone or a theme for the whole poster. Your text and the order of the steps stay the same.
