  • Compute e Function
  • Object Storage e Managed DB
  • Queue
  • CDN, balanceador e API gateway

Cloud diagrams that look like the account

Cloud architecture diagrams fail when every resource is a gray rectangle with a hopeful label. Reviewers cannot tell compute from function, queue from database, or which region anything runs in, so they stop trusting the picture. A cloud canvas works when nodes look like the system: Region frames that actually contain things, Compute and Function nodes with distinct shapes, Object Storage, Managed Database, Queue, CDN, load balancer, and API gateway each recognizable at a glance. Draw the account the way it bills, and the diagram starts answering questions instead of raising them.

Scope one board per region or per system, not per cloud. Cross-region traffic, shared CDN edges, and the API gateway in front deserve their own paths with labeled edges, because those paths are the architecture. When workloads run on Kubernetes, drop the cluster node next to the managed data plane instead of maintaining a second diagram; reviewers see compute, storage, and orchestration in one place. Keep managed services visually distinct from self-run containers so the build-versus-buy boundary is obvious to everyone in the review.

From cloud map to launch checklist

A cloud diagram earns its place in the launch process when it doubles as a checklist. Walk the request path edge by edge: CDN to load balancer to compute to managed database, with the queue and function branches called out. Save a revision snapshot at each milestone (design, staging, and launch) so drift between milestones is visible instead of argued about. Share a branded public link with the security team for review; export JSON when the platform team wants the model alongside the picture.

The Cloud pack ships on Free with Network, Kubernetes, and Security packs beside it, because real systems cross those boundaries on day one. Combine a Region frame with VPC and subnet frames when the network story matters, and let orthogonal edges carry the traffic paths cleanly. Pro adds embed for runbooks plus watermark-free snapshots; Enterprise adds an SLA and dedicated support when more of the organization depends on the map. Draw the region you operate, and the canvas keeps it readable.

Questions

Are the cloud nodes vendor-specific?

No. The Cloud pack is vendor-agnostic (Region, Compute, Function, Object Storage, Managed Database, Queue, CDN, load balancer, and API gateway nodes), so one visual language covers every account you operate.

Can cloud and Kubernetes live on one diagram?

Yes. The canvas holds Cloud, Kubernetes, Network, and Security packs together: put the cluster node beside the managed data plane and connect them with labeled edges for the full request path.

How do I keep the diagram current after launch?

Save revision snapshots at each milestone, share the live link instead of screenshots, and export JSON when the model must travel. Autosave keeps the canvas, not a slide, as the source of truth, and every milestone snapshot stays one click away.
